Prepare to lace up your running shoes and join us on Thanksgiving Day for an unforgettable experience. This year, we're offering an array of race options to suit every level of enthusiasm and fitness. Choose between the invigorating 5-mile run, the spirited 5K race, or the delightful 1-mile fun run. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, there's a race for you!
But the Turkey Trot is more than just a race – it's a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those around us. As we take strides towards the finish line, we're also taking strides to fight food insecurity in our region. The YMCA Turkey Trot is not only a celebration of health and wellness but also a powerful initiative to raise funds that will directly support our efforts to combat hunger and ensure a brighter future for our community.
“The Turkey Trot has helped make a difference in the Pittsburgh community since 1991,” said Amy Kienle, president and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. “For so many, the event is a chance to come together, give thanks for our blessings and give back to support our friends and neighbors in need."
