Welcome to the Homewood-Brushton YMCA.
At this Y, and at every other branch in the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Association, you’ll find neighbors and friends making healthier lives for themselves, for each other, and for the Pittsburgh region.
The Homewood-Brushton YMCA Community Outreach center is the hub of support in the Homewood area of Pittsburgh. From Hope For All providing support including food security and tax preparation to our Employment Center helping to get you set up for success and back in the workforce, to youth enrichment with our Lighthouse Project and Y Creator space to connect students to computer programming and the arts to expand their horizons, the Homewood-Brushton YMCA is here for the community.
It's a new day at the Y.
Together we’re making a better us. And we’re happy to count you among us.

AUDIO ARTS & VISUAL CLUBS
The Audio Arts & Visual Arts Clubs meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the school year. These clubs serve as creative havens where teens can learn, collaborate, and hone their artistic talents. Club participants learn how to use industry-standard equipment and software and work together to create music, videos, and artwork to present and perform around their community.
Y CREATOR SPACE
The Y Creator Space is a free STEAM-based Maker program serving Pittsburgh-area youth after school, in school, and during the summer. Here young minds ages 9 to 12 develop grit, innovate, collaborate, and problem-solve with projects involving 3D printing, robotics, graphic design, circuitry, engineering, and more.
LIGHTHOUSE RECORDING STUDIO
The Lighthouse Recording Studio is a community-based recording facility providing a professional, comfortable, and creative environment for people of all ages to create, rehearse and record musical projects. The studio provides year-round free programming and instruction to high school teens after school and is available for fee-based recording and rehearsal sessions during weekdays and Saturdays.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT

MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL - FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Everyone is welcome at the Y. We provide membership and program services to everyone desiring to participate regardless of race, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, disability or income. The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh provides financial assistance for children, teens, adults and families who cannot afford the full cost of a Y membership.
We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income, which requires supporting documentation to verify. Recipients are expected to be responsible for a percentage of the membership cost. Qualification for YMCA financial assistance for membership is reviewed every year.
If you need financial assistance, please bring proof of income to your local branch.
